                                                Exclusion of Liability – Assumption of Risk

As a condition for joining Cooper River Yacht Club:

• I assume all risk of personal injury or property loss resulting from any cause whatsoever including, but not limited to, the negligence on the part of the Club, its officers, board members and members at large.

• I agree that Cooper River Yacht Club, its officers , board members and members at large will not be liable for any such personal injury or loss of or damage to property whether suffered by me, my family, my crew or guests and I release and waive all claims with respect thereto.

• I agree that I am responsible for the safety and conduct of my family, crew, and guests and will hold the Club harmless from liability arising in connection with our participating in Club events.

• I agree that I am responsible to carry sufficient medical and liability insurance to protect myself, my family and others.  In the event that no insurance is provided, then I agree to assume legal responsibilities that would otherwise be indemnified.

This agreement shall be in effect while I am a member of the Club and will remain in effect until the Board of Directors accepts my resignation.

I acknowledge that I have read this exclusion of liability and by signing it will waive certain legal rights including the right to sue.
