Logistics
Jack secured for us the park, so that's done. Today is Friday the 13th. Keep in mind the roast is a week from tomorrow.
As of March 13, I woud guess attendance at +/- 20. I'll send a confirmation email Sunday morning saying we will order oysters based on members commitment, so we expect they will show (and pay).
I'll contact Terry Beach and Priscilla for advice on how much food is needed to feed 20 people. Should we over plan by, maybe, 10%?
We also need: hamburgers, hot dogs, rolls/buns, chips, mustard, relish, onions, band-aids, soda, beer, paper plates, napkins, utensils, serving spoons, plastic cups, potato salad, cole slaw, at least 1 charcoal burner, charcoal and starter, water, plastic trash bags, serving bowls/plates,
Anything else? Any fun stuff; door prizes, watermellon?
Who is going to order the oysters, buy the food, etc.?
We need oyster cooking pots (Al's, the club's, another?) and propane. Who has propane for 3 stoves?
Is there electricity at the site? Music would be nice. A boom box, maybe? Anyone have one and some CDs?
What am I forgetting?
Brian does not have any "stuff". He says it is Reg's storage unit. Al has the key. We need an inventory beforehand.
Brian also said there is some box wine there. Does it keep like plastic? Should we offer wine at all?
Please add to this list.
